Over the course of their talk, Aisling outlines the key impacts of Article 10a and Article 25a of MID regarding motor compensation bodies and their insurance industry implications. She also talks about their integration into Irish law and the aims of the Motor Insurance Insolvency Compensation Bill 2023.
Denis highlighted the key transport related elements of the directive, including the definition of a vehicle, the requirement for compulsory MTPL insurance under Article 3 along with the exclusion of motorsports and the derogations contained in Article 5.
