As our commitment to gender balance at MIBI, we are proud to be signatories of the Women in Finance Charter.
The Women in Finance Charter is a collaboration between industry and Government under the Ireland for Finance strategy. Ireland for Finance, is the Government’s blueprint for the development of the international financial services sector. Diversity is a key theme of the strategy.
The Charter was developed in partnership with Financial Services Ireland, Insurance Ireland, Banking & Payments Federation Ireland and Irish Funds.
The Charter is open to all financial services firms operating in Ireland. Signatories of the Charter commit their organisations to improving the number of women in management and board level positions to achieve better gender balance and a more inclusive working environment.
MIBI became Charter Signatories on 31 August 2023. We used the opportunity of our MIBI Annual Conference on 6 October 2023 to have our CEO, David Fitzgerald and our keynote speaker, Minister of State Dr. Jennifer Carroll MacNeill proudly launch the Women in Business Charter within MIBI. By signing up to the charter, MIBI commits to
- Striving to maintain our current gender balance commitment at board level
- Ensuring our management structure reflects a balanced gender profile
- Supporting development and nurturing the ambitions and aspiration of employees to achieve their potential
- Examining our recruitment methods to ensure gender balance and inclusion built in at recruitment stage
- Ensuring MIBI flexible and family friendly policies in place and available to all
- Report on progress annually
