International Women’s Day at MIBI
International Women’s Day on March 8 is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
MIBI’s Engagement Committee and our Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee organised an International Women’s Day presentation with a focus on how, ‘together we can forge women’s equality and collectively we can all #BreakTheBias’. Our event included a video by the spoken word poet Anisa Nandaula (see video here) performing her poem #BreakTheBias. The D&I and Engagement Committee’s also took this opportunity to share an exciting calendar of D&I events for the year ahead in 2022.
