Minister of State Robert Troy with David Fitzgerald, CEO, MIBI
The launch of Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter’s fourth annual report by EU Commissioner Michael McGrath and Minister of State Robert Troy highlights the significant progress being made in improving female representation across financial services.
The Women in Finance Charter is a commitment by signatory firms and representative bodies to achieve greater gender balance and inclusivity at all levels across the financial services sector in Ireland. Supported by the Government of Ireland, this Charter underpins the industry’s ambition to see increased participation of women at all levels, including junior, middle and senior management, leadership and board roles within financial services organisations based in Ireland.
Fostering and harnessing the talent and experience of all women in financial services is crucial in developing a strong pipeline of talent. This will lead to greater diversity of thought, experience and leadership styles in decision-making processes, for the economic benefit of the business and the wider community as a whole.
At MIBI, we are making good progress towards our 50% female representation target on our Board. We currently stand at a very credible 44%, and we continue to look for future opportunities to help us realise our 50:50 gender balance target once again. Our minimum target of 50% female representation in technical and professional roles, has been exceeded again in 2025 with 86% of these roles held by female colleagues in this category. MIBI will continue to support the development and nurture the ambitions and aspirations of all employees to help them achieve their potential. We believe in gender diversity and are committed to improving female representation at all levels in our company.
MIBI is a proud signatory to Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter since 2023. Please see Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter latest Annual Report here: WIF Fourth Annual Report 2026
