We were delighted to see the success of the MIBI’s Irish Motor Insurance Database (IMID) recognised at the Government’s Better Public Services Awards 2026, winning the award for ‘Strategic Use of Data to Guide Improvements’.
A genuinely game‑changing initiative, IMID was up against strong competition and is already making a real difference in helping to reduce the number of uninsured vehicles and make our roads safer.
It is also a great example of what can be achieved through effective public-private collaboration, bringing together MIBI, An Garda Síochána, the Department of Transport and Insurance Ireland.
